Alphabet Abs

Hola bloggerinos! Happy Saturday 😀 It’s bright and sunny and COLD here, but I’m just lovin’ it. So sick of clouds lately that any sun just brightens my day 😀

Glad you guys liked the personal training spoof I posted yesterday. LOL too funny.

Shortly after I posted said video, I finally convinced myself to jump on the elliptical for about 40 minutes before doing some ab work. While ellipticizing, I read Runner’s World, and just so happened to find my ab workout in the mag/

Have you ever done the stability ball alphabet?

Please excuse my morning look – zero makeup on that mug!

Post-workout, I refueled with a little boocha, raw almond butter and apples:

Earlier at the store, I had bought some Golden Wheat beer, which I’ve been wanting to try out forevvver! It was almost 5:00, so why not bust it out? 😉

What’s Golden Wheat, you ask?

Basically Bud Light flavored with citrus peels and coriander. It tasted like Blue Moon without the heaviness. Yum!

That abby workout must have really reared up my appetite 😉 because shortly after, I was ready for dinner!

On the menu for tonight – easy peasy Spaghetti and Meat(less) balls!

I love Fresh Market’s whole wheat noodles. The husband can’t even tell they’re w.w. which is always a bonus!

Served it up with a spinach and arugula salad and the rest of my beer:)

The husband and I were both pretty worn out from the day, so we took it easy by playing a few games of Wii bowling and then watched Stranger Than Fiction – which was totally mediocre.

Movie-watching snacks – mine on the right, hubski’s on the left

I like mine with nooch and dark choc chips that are slightly melted

And he just likes his with sea salt, dark cc and butterscotch chips.

We totally made like grandparents are were in bed before 10:30. This is becoming too much of a trend…LOL

Actually, it’s a good thing we did, because Shane is on call this weekend, and he got a call at 3:00 a.m. 😦 Poor guy. So he worked from 3-6, then was pretty much up for the morning. We’re having a couple friends over tonight for cards, so hopefully he’ll be able to stay awake!

I arose around 7:30, and made some French Press and warm oats:

French press with Fresh Market and Body, Mind Soul fair trade

Banana blueberry oatmeal

Altogether now – whitened up the coffee with some coconut milk. Which, by the way, I’m not a fan of.

I’m now 100% convinced that I will have to give up coffee before ever becoming vegan because of my love for half and half. And I highly doubt the former will ever happen.

I then took the coffee and oats back to bed with me and read a little while, because I wasn’t feeling the whole being up for the day thing just yet.

But something stirring in the kitchen caused me to arise out of bed.

What was it…could it be…

The husband making HIMSELF a meal!??

And wait…not just eggs, but toast too?!?

It was true. And just so I knew my mind wasn’t playing tricks on me, I had to document it by taking pictures, hehe:) Sorry Shane – it’s all in good fun 😉

Well I’m off to meet a friend at the gym for a 4.5 mile run, and then meet up with another friend for Starbuckies! Hope you all have a fantastic Saturday!!

      • Ok thanks! BTW, I’m new to being a wordpress user. Any idea why my user name doesn’t hyperlink to my site when I comment? Is that a setting on the person’s site I’m commenting on or something on my end? If you don’t know, no worries. I’m just failing at using this new account.

  14. did you know you can make hot air-ish popped popcorn in the microwave?!

Learned it last night- 1/4C kernels into a brown paper bag with 2t olive oil and some salt- microwave for three minutes and I swear all the oil just absorbs right into the bag- SO GOOD!

And my goodness – how is it possible I haven’t tried the paper bag popcorn popping method? The boyf and I LOVE popcorn, but stopped buying it because of the trans fats in the microwave kind. We’ve made it over the stove with oil, but it’s just not the same. I will have to try that out, too.
