Bread Pudding?

Hi friends! I sure am enjoying reading about everyone’s “pipe” dreams. You guys are some pretty impressive people! I’m planning on putting my little pipe dream to good use in the next few months. In fact, I’m deeming the next month VitaMonth.

During the month of October, I plan to use my Vitamix once a day every day. I’ll mention each use on the blog – whether it be for an entire meal, like a smoothie, or just a part of a meal, like dressing! It’ll be fun 😀

Yesterday turned out to be a fabulous day! Since I rescheduled all of my clients, I had the entire day to get some schtuff done. After getting in an easy four miler (total time: 34:41, average pace 8:50) I set off for a LONG over due visit to the salon.

It’d been since May, and I desperately needed a trip and some highlights. Much bettah!

When the husband got home from work, we were ready to celebrate our anniversary a little bit more…

This look familiar? 😀

we kept one of our favorites from our wine trip from last year with intentions of opening it on this anniversary!with a dinner out to our favorite restaurant here in town, Biaggi’s!

It tasted…sweeter? Shane was really in to sweet wines back then, so I’m not sure if it was the actual wine or our palates, that changed in a year.

And then we were off to our favorite restaurant here in town, Biaggi’s.

Although their vegetarian selections are very limited, what is on the menu is fantastic, and we just love the atmosphere!

We were at opposite sides of the spectrum when deciding which bottle of wine to order, so we compromised by each ordering our own glass!

A glass of torrentes for me and some malbec for Shane. The malbec was delicious, but the torrentes was WAY to floral for my taste. I love an aromatic wine, but I immediately was overpowered by the floral and almost detergent-like scents. However, I somehow managed to empty the glass – it wasn’t too bad.

Plus, it actually went quite well with my entree!

Butternut squash ravioli with walnuts and chopped squash in a brown butter and sage sauce. So delicious!

I usually pass on dessert when dining out, sheerly because I’m all ready overly stuffed, but at Biaggi’s, dessert is a must.

A must! This is the white chocolate bread pudding. And it’s to. die. for. todiefor!

It’s so FLUFFY!

It was such a great night, with great food, great wine, and great company.

Since becoming more budget friendly, we haven’t been dining out at fancy restaurants as much, so nights like last night seem even extra special 🙂

Today is my marathon day of the week. I have a client in the wee hours of the morning, then working at the BIC, and then training two more clients. Ay ay ay!

Have a terrific Tuesday, everyone! 🙂

What’s your favorite dessert to order at a restaurant? Need I say? Bread. Pudding. (But only this bread pudding – I actually don’t like bread pudding in general!)

  1. I am a cheesecake or tiramisu kinda girl. 🙂

  2. Happy Anniversary! I’ve never had bread pudding, but that looks yummy! I will have to try that sometime. Your entre also looks delish!

  3. we have a biaggi’s over here, and it’s also very good! We love going to this small italian restaurant called Capri. The tiramisu is the best I’ve ever had!

  4. Your hair looks great!

So does your dinner! Italian restaurants always top my list and butternut squash ravioli is one of my favorites. I love ordering dessert. I usually go with carrot cake or cheesecake. Much to the BF’s dismay, chocolate desserts never make the cut.

  5. Your date night looked fun! I am a cheesecake or chocolate girl when out at a restaurant, but I rarely order it either – normally just satisfied with dinner.

  6. i have that vinturi wine aerator too! the one for white and red 🙂 i will order anything that has cinnamon in it, but i think the best dessert i have ever had out was a bread pudding.

  7. Your anniversary dinner looks super yummy. Especially the ravioli, the “brown butter and sage sauce” sounds divine!
Can’t wait for VitaMonth! I could use some smoothie recipe inspiration.

  8. Love the hair! It looks great 🙂 I bet you really appreciated having a whole day to get stuff done and kind of do your own thing! Your dinner looks A-MAZING…As for the wine, I’m really into fruity wines right now, but maybe that will change as I get older?? I dunno 🙂 Yay for VitaMonth!

  9. Love your hair and your choice of restaurant 🙂

  10. I don’t normaly like bread pudding either but I had the BEST bread pudding while in California. It was amazing and I plan to have it again next time I visit the left coast!

In regards to wine, I don’t like the floral scents in what I drink either.

  11. i love, love, love biaggis! i didn’t realize it was nationwide. it is so good, i love all of their desserts. and for the carnivore in me, i LOVE their filet mignon with sun dried tomato sauce. yum.

    looks like a fun celebration!

  12. yum!!! that food looks delicious and happy anniversery!!!

I think that I am a brownie/cookie gal OR key lime pie!!!!

  13. Creme brulee every time. EVERY TIME. lol I just love tapping my spoon on the toasted sugar 🙂

  14. Creme Brulee is always my A-Team pick. But if I’m at a restaurant where it’s not the best I’ve ever had, I’m a Tira Misu fiend of the highest order. I can’t even help myself – it just disappears!
