Hi guys! How are you doing today? Hopefully your Tuesday is shaping out to be quite nice:)
I started my day out before the sun did around 4:45 this morning to get in an early a.m. workout. Upon waking up, I had some pre-run and weights fuelage:

Half a sliced banana with some almond butter, maca, and cinnamon. Right after snapping its pic, I smashed everything together 🙂 I’ve found that I like to sprinkle maca on my pre-workout snack for some energy because I don’t have time to make coffee with the French press so early. I know I need a small bite to eat before an intense workout anyway, so by using maca, I get more bang for my buck workout!
Met Heidi at the gym, did a 35 minute tempo run, and then a couple upper body exercises until the hour was up and I had to head home.
Post-workout fuelage:

Overnight Oats!

Urgh.. cloudy morning light. Combo of a 1/3 c. oats, 1 T. chia, 1 t. stevia, 1 T. flax, 1 T. hemp powder, handful of raisins, 1/4 c. Greek yog, 1/3 c. almond milk (phew!) chilled in the fridge in the night until it’s friends Mix My Granola, banana, and raw almond butter came to kick it. It was one big delicious party 😉
Walked Niko and then was off to work! The morning went by quite swimmingly before lunch sneaked up on me.
When lunch time rolled around, and I had a few business calls to make and some side job paper work to take care of, so I stepped out of the office for a few to get those things crossed off the to-do list.
Oh, and I also made time for a little luncharoo 😉

Yet another wrap! I get on my kicks, I tell ya. Well, that, and I like to use up all my leftovers:) Lentils + baked sweet potato + spinach all wrapped up in a Flat Out wrap. Sooo scrumptious.
And a snack for back at the office:

TJ’s PB pretzels. Talk about addictive eats.
When I got home from work, I got done something that I’ve been meaning to do for an amount of time that I’m ashamed to admit. I washed my make up brushes! Did you know it’s beneficial to wash your most used make up brushes every week? We essentially are putting bacteria on the face when using dirty makeup brushes. Ick! I used to do this when I was super into makeup for a while, but as my collection grew and my bank account shrunk, I gave up that obsession. Anyway, today it was time for a washin’.
Makeup brush washing on the cheap – A How-to, of sorts:
1. Dampen brush and massage in some baby shampoo into the bristles.

2. Let sit while moving onto next brush; continue with rest of brushes until all are doused with baby shampoo

4. Grab first brush and run it (bristles pointing down) under cold running water to rid of any and all impurities, grease, oil, dust, and makeup off of the brush

5. Lay out to dry

Voila! It only takes about 10 minutes, but for some reason, it’s just. so. hard. for me to muster up the motivation to do it.
And while we’re on the topic, here’s my nifty way of organizing le brushes:

DIY at it’s finest..
Went to Hobby Lobby, got a cute, short vase, some different colored stones, and stuck the brushes in!
At the time, I went with blue and yellow because it matched the bathroom:)

Granted I currently use about three or less of those brushes, but it holds them in place quite well regardless!
While my brushes were drying, I had a quick snack before as fuelage for finishing up my upper body weight sesh that I ran out of time for this morning:

Homemade Greek yog and some Mix My Granola. Yogureffic. Unfortunately, this was the end of my Mix my Granola. Tear 😦
Did a quickie work out of the following:
· Chest press on stability ball
· Posterior delt flies
· Overhead press
· Bent rows
· Iron Crosses
· Plank rows (?)
· Bicep curls on incline via stability ball
· Overhead tricep extensions
Did that workout circuit style and went through twice doing reps of 10-12 of each. My arms felt nice and gelatin-like by the end 😀
It’s dinner time!

Leftover veggie lasagna and a simple spinach salad with organic honey mustard.
Something I noticed is that the blog helps me get in my veggies often. I was feeling lazy and just wanted to re-heat some lasagna, but when I went to take a picture, the plate was lacking…something. Enter: veggies!! Tis a good thing…like my own personal veggie enforcer 🙂
And a bowl o’ grapes for dessizert:

Bout to close up shop for the night after reading your blogs and cleaning up the kitchen.
Have a great night, all!
